Thousands of people across Hull have been trying to get their hands on the Hull Dictionary after is sold out just before Christmas. Luckily new deliveries have been dropped off to Waterstones in Hull city centre and Panache Chanterlands avenue, but are selling fast!
Janet from the Avenues in Hull said she needs the Hull Dictionary so that her work colleagues from London can understand her strong Hull Dialect. She said it was when she said "It's Mafting" last summer and her colleagues looked at her in dismay.
John from West Hull said he used the Hull Dictionary to explain the meaning of "Tenfoot" to his relatives who are visiting Hull for Christmas.
Suzy from Boothferry road said she uses The Hull Dictionary as she's working in USA and they looked at her like she was from Mars when she first opened her mouth.
